Today’s pic, though a little late has quite a nice story to it. This is a shot of the MI6 (frequently mistakenly called the MI5) building and yes I admit, it was a little rushed, there’s too much foreground and the focus AND lighting are bad so honestly if it wasn’t for the story I wouldn’t even submit it. It was rushed because as I crossed the bridge and looked for my shot, unknown to me, I was being shadowed. Pausing and moving frequently along the public bridge as I tried to get the correct range and shot position I noticed I was being followed by a middle aged man in a green tee shirt but this in itself isn’t strange, a lot of people are interested in the little men when I get them out. This man though, after scoping me out for a little while walked swiftly past me and uttered in a strong but quiet voice, “you could get in serious trouble for that mate.” and carried on without turning his head.  It wasn’t until he had passed me and I looked after him that I noticed he had smart black ironed trousers on beneath the scrubby green tee and was seemingly a security man from the waist down. So let that be a warning to you, just because it’s a public view in a public place it doesn’t mean you can’t get very close to trouble for taking a photo of it, I can’t even begin to think how much trouble that would mean if I weren’t white British.
