Most of us have seen artists making sand sculptures on the beach before and so should be fairly used to the idea of sand as an artistic material but this clip showed us something entirely different today. With only a lightbox and a few handfuls of sand this contestant on Ukraine’s got talent manages to create an almost living artwork that seems to transform her thoughts into images almost as fast as we can follow them.

Telling an all too familiar war story with a few masterfully crafted hand motions through fine sand and accompanied by stirring orchestral renditions of songs we know and love we thoroughly enjoyed this here and wish her all the best in the world.
