So instead I’ve decided I’m going to treat you to one of my very first concept shots. This one was taken hastily in a pub with my sister moments after she provided me very generously with the very first 1:100 scale models. I took a few others too but this one stand out above all the others in my mind because of the ease and simplicity with which it came together… an aspect of this project that I’ve been really lacking these past few days. This marks the end of the sweetie set for the week. I wanted to do something with gummi bears as I think their transparency could be pretty cool with the right lighting but I will have to save that for another week. o/

This is a shot of the MI6 (frequently mistakenly called the MI5) building and yes I admit, it was a little rushed, there’s too much foreground and the focus AND lighting are bad so honestly if it wasn’t for the story I wouldn’t even submit it. It was rushed because as I crossed the bridge and looked for my shot, unknown to me, I was being shadowed. Pausing and moving frequently along the public bridge as I tried to get the correct range and shot position I noticed I was being followed by a middle aged man in a green tee shirt but this in itself isn’t strange, a lot of people are interested in the little men when I get them out. This man though, after scoping me out for a little while walked swiftly past me and uttered in a strong but quiet voice, “you could get in serious trouble for that mate.” and carried on without turning his head.  It wasn’t until he had passed me and I looked after him that I noticed he had smart black ironed trousers on beneath the scrubby green tee and was seemingly a security man from the waist down. So let that be a warning to you, just because it’s a public view in a public place it doesn’t mean you can’t get very close to trouble for taking a photo of it, I can’t even begin to think how much trouble that would mean if I weren’t white British.
